A day of walking old town in Bangkok

After a good nights sleep, a shower, organizing my things a bit and then English breakfast and Guava juice at the hostel! Ready to walk!
I started out for a long walk in the old town! I first stopped at Wat Traimit. The Temple of the Golden Buddha! Impressive with the 3 m tall, 5,5-tonne, solid-gold Buddha image! Lots of local people visiting this Site!
Then I walked the Songwat road with many small businesses, clustered by the type of sales! I came to the Ratchawong boat terminal for boats going along the River. They feeded really big fishes by the entrence!
I came to the big Flower-Market with lovely flowers and fruits etc! Then I passed the Siam museum on my way to the magnificient Wat Pho! I've never seen such a collection of Buddhas before and the largest one is 46 m long and 15 m high, finished in plaster and gold leaf! There was a ceremony for the King today and a nice orchestra with young people were playing, when the ceremonie arrived!
I then walk to the Royal Palace, after a break with some Guava fruit and an iced coffee! There was also a ceremony celebrating the upcoming birthday for the King. So many people were there so I choosed not to go in!
I walk then to the impressive Golden Mount, located on the top of a small mountain and with a fantastic view of Town! I lighted two lights for my parents in front of the laying Buddha!
Back down again I walked my way thru the old town back to the hostel at Hua Lamphong!
I had a Zinga beer after a 6 hours walk with many new impressions!
Dinner at the hostel - a nice fish Soup with some rice! I will sleep like a baby tonight!
