The way to Battambang

I had a coffee and toast at the hostel and then a minibus picked me up. The bus was filled with people and he drow that fast on smal, narrow roads - a woman got carsick and threw up in a plastic bag! When we came to the main bus we immediately left, but soon we stopped to take on a scoter? In the loadarea! After that we went back to the center of town, where we started this morning to pick up another guy and finally, after one hour delay, we left Siam Reap!

The journey took almost 5 hours and we had a stop for a bite and toilett!

We were attacked by tuk tuk drivers when we arrived and I chosed one and for one USD, he took me to Lux Guesthouse, were I got a room on the fourth floor with a view over town. I also got a fruit plate on arrival - nice! Asked about the circus, Yes tonight! Asked about a bus to Sihanoukville for Monday night, Yes, that was good! Also the Bambo train - maybe tomorrow!

I soon went out for a walk to find Cafe Eden and after looking for about 1/2 hour I found out that they had moved. Coffee and a muffin tasted good!

Before going to the Circus, I had a dinner at the Lonely Tree Cafe. I had fried rice with chicken and a beer for 4 1/2 USD - very tasty - this restaurant proceeds support cultural preservation and the disabled, among other causes.

After that I went to the hotel for a tuk tuk ride to Le Cirque! It's a multi-arts centre for disadvantaged children! The performance was very good and I enjoyed every moment of it. The tuk tuk driver took me back to the guest house in the dark evening!

  1. I'm using my IPAD and put in the pictures from the camera! When I've finished my trip I think I really know how to do it in the best possible way!
