The world heritage site - old town in Luang Prabang

It has been a nice day. The sun came back and during the day it was warm again. The evenings and nights are stil a bit cold!
I walked off to go to theTEAC, that is a museum showing northern Laos ethnic mosaic, but I missed it's Monday so it was closed. Next was the long way up to the Stupa, That Chomsi, on top of a 100 m high hill in the centre. Many steps until reaching the top but worth it. Not only the Stupa, but the views are stunning! Many nice Buddhas on the way up!

Todays Buddha!

The STUPA and below the view from the top!

Coming down again it was time for the Royal Palace, were royalties lived until 1975. So many interesting things so I just choosed some. No photos inside!

Guarding the Royal Pagoda!

After that I walked down and had a banana shake at the riverside - nice!, planing the next coming days! I booked a two day trekking tomorrow with visits to rural villages and an overnight stay in a home!
After that I went further down the road and booked a boat trip to the Thai border - a two days trip with a stop for overnight in Pak Beng! Unfortunatly or luckyly, I have to stay one more day as the boat didn't go on Saturday!

After this I came to the Wat Xieng Thung, maybe the most beatiful monastry I've seen so far! Mosaic and colorful, yes wonderful!

A picture from the beatiful buildings of the world heritage site - you cannot change buildings etc in the centre!

In the evening I went to the royal opera and saw a show ! Very beautiful dresses and dancing!

Tomorrow I'll be out in a homestay so I'll be back the next day!
