The road was good and we had a good speed! By a stop for toilet he asked us if we wanted to go the shorter or the longer way! 4 or 6 hours, and we all wanted the shorter! It started to go upwards and more and it was really pity that the mist were laying over the hills or mountains - it would have been a fantastic scenery! We made a stop on the top and tried to take some pictures! I took some from the bus but they were very poor as it was dirt on the window!
Well, it was a good trip and he left us in the centre! Now it was time to find out were I am??? Both back packs on and I started walking and quite soon I knew where I was on the map, and in reality!
After 1/2 hours walk I arrived at the place - Savay Guest House! I got a nice room with a balcony and I hope it will be warmer the coming days! Now its a matter of taking on a lot of clothes for the sleep!
I went out and had a look at the centre and I stoped for a coffee and later for a dark Lao beer, the favourite! On one side of the street all agents were clustered to sell various packages with trips, elephant rides, trekking, kayaking, homestays etc etc. I need to decide what I want to do - what I've decided is to try to take a boat on the Mekong river to the Thai border!
I had a light dinner at an Aussie rest nearby to where I'm staying! Good night!
Waiting in the morning rain for the minibus!
A normal toilet at a stop! Foot plates and no paper!
If we hadn't had the rain and the mist the view would have been fantastic, you see the road below on the picture!
I walked along a side river in to town!
The main street with all the agents selling tours!
The night market had started at the nain street !
Hi Larry. Still following you on your trip. Sorry for the weather because everything is so nice in sunshine. But I can comfort you. We have the same mess in Malmö. Where is all rain, clouds and mess comes from?
